  1.  A breaker

  2. Paper

  3. Pencil

  4. Color pencil

  5. Tap


Step 1. Fill the beaker with water up to 25ml.


Step 2. Cut the paper by 2 by 6.


Step 3. Roll the paper around the pencil.


Step 4. Put the tap on the paper & pencil.


Step 5. Make a small circle with the colored pencil 1cm from the bottom of the paper.


Step 6. Put the paper in the water and make the pencil hang on the breaker.


How it works:Chromatography is a method of separating mixtures by using a moving solvent on filter paper. A drop of mixture solution is spotted near one end of the paper and then dried. ... The solvent flows along the paper through the spots and on, carrying the substances from the spot.
